The Purpose

 

Georgetown Sterling Gloves is a nonprofit  tax-exempt organization that exist to lead in positive and social change and to deliver hope for those in need throughout our communities.

 

The Georgetown Sterling Gloves was started by 6 time world amateur boxing champion Herb Fulton, with the thought that giving young men and women a venue to display their hard training in the discipline of boxing, would prove to be publicly rewarding for both the boxers and the many charities it could help. Since its first show in 2012, the attendance of the event has shown tremendous growth from 400 plus to over 800 in 2013, 1000 in 2014, 2000 in 2015, 2500 in 2016, 3000 in 2017 and anticipating well over 4000 for 2018.
